Terms of Service — siteaccess.io
Effective date: 2026-07-21 Last updated: 2026-07-21
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of siteaccess.io (the "Service", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization, and "you" refers to that organization.
1. The Service
siteaccess.io provides secure remote network access, allowing authorized users to connect to their organization's network. It is built on the open-source Tailscale and Headscale software and uses an identity provider that your organization chooses (for example Microsoft Entra ID or Google) to authenticate users.
2. Accounts, eligibility, and identity
- Access is provided through your organization's identity provider. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, which are held by that provider, not by us.
- You must provide accurate information and use the Service only as authorized by the organization that granted you access.
- The Service is intended for business use and for users who are of legal age to form a binding contract.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to any network, system, or account, or to another organization's tenant;
- interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service;
- reverse engineer or circumvent the Service's security or access controls, except to the extent that underlying open-source components permit under their own licenses;
- use the Service to transmit malware or to conduct attacks against third parties. We may suspend access that we reasonably believe violates this section or poses a security risk.
4. Your responsibilities
- Identity provider: You configure and control your own identity provider and its policies. You are responsible for provisioning and deprovisioning your users and for the accuracy of the identity data your provider sends.
- Access rules: You are responsible for the access-control policies you define for your tenant and for the network resources you make reachable through the Service.
- Devices: You are responsible for the devices your users connect and for keeping the client software up to date.
5. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Statement, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. In short: your traffic is end-to-end encrypted and we cannot read it; we keep operational logs for a short period; and we do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes.
6. Open-source components and attribution
The Service is built on open-source software, including Tailscale and Headscale, each licensed under its own terms. Tailscale is a trademark of Tailscale Inc.; we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Tailscale Inc. Those components are provided by their authors under their respective licenses and warranties (or disclaimers thereof).
7. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Any specific availability commitments are set out in a separate order form or agreement, not here. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service, and will provide reasonable notice of material changes where practicable.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, for security reasons, or as required by law. You or your organization may stop using the Service at any time. On termination, we will remove account and device records in accordance with the Privacy Statement.
9. Disclaimers
Except as expressly stated, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or of applicable law, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service provider operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will change the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
